MSR 2027 SURF TRIP GIVEAWAY
Competition Terms & Conditions
Promoter: Mentawai Surf Retreat 2020 Ltd, trading as Mentawai Surf Retreat® (MSR).
Competition period: 2–15 November 2026.
Closing date and time: Sunday, 15 November 2026, at 5:30 PM Western Indonesia Time (WIB, UTC+7).
1. The Prize
One lucky winner will receive a complimentary surf trip for one person at Mentawai Surf Retreat®, Mentawai Islands, Indonesia.
The winner may select one of the following 2027 trips:

Trip 5: 12–22 March 2027 (10 nights)
Trip 10: 2–9 May 2027 (7 nights)
Trip 12: 19–29 May 2027 (10 nights)
Trip 18: 17–25 July 2027 (8 nights)
Trip 21: 14–22 August 2027 (8 nights)
The prize includes accommodation, meals and scheduled surf transfers provided by MSR during the selected trip.
International flights, travel insurance, visas, applicable visitor charges, transportation to and from the resort and other personal expenses are not included unless expressly confirmed otherwise by MSR.
The prize is not exchangeable for cash or transferable.
2. Eligibility
Entry is free. No purchase or booking is required.
Entrants must be aged 20–70 inclusive.
Entrants must be legally permitted to participate in the competition in their country of residence and eligible to travel to Indonesia.
One entry per person is permitted. Duplicate or fraudulent entries may be disqualified.
3. How to Enter
Complete the official online competition entry form between 2 November 2026 and the closing deadline of 5:30 PM WIB on 15 November 2026.
Following MSR on social media, tagging friends or sharing the competition are not requirements for entry and do not increase the chances of winning.
All valid entries have an equal chance of winning.
4. Winner Selection
One winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received before the closing deadline.
The draw will take place on Monday, 16 November 2026.
The winner will be contacted using the email address supplied on the entry form and must respond within 5 days of notification.
The winner will be announced on MSR's social media channels after eligibility and acceptance have been confirmed, subject to the winner's consent to the announcement.
If the winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible or fails to accept the prize within the specified period, MSR may select another winner by random draw.
5. Travel and Safety
The winner must comply with MSR's reasonable safety procedures and trip requirements.
Mentawai Surf Retreat® operates in a remote island location with limited access to medical facilities and emergency transport.
The winner is responsible for obtaining suitable travel and medical insurance, including coverage for surfing and medical evacuation.
Participation in surfing activities is subject to prevailing ocean conditions, the participant's ability and reasonable safety assessments by MSR.
6. Discounts for the Winner's Accompanying Friends
The competition winner may invite friends to join them on their selected 2027 trip at a discounted nightly rate.
The following discounts apply to accompanying paying friends:
1–2 friends: 20% off the standard nightly rate per qualifying friend.
3–4 friends: 30% off the standard nightly rate per qualifying friend.
5 or more friends: 40% off the standard nightly rate per qualifying friend.
The applicable discount is determined by the number of accompanying friends who make confirmed, qualifying bookings.
These discounts apply only to the winner's accompanying paying friends and do not reduce or affect the winner's complimentary prize.
All discounted bookings for accompanying friends must be confirmed by 25 November 2026.
Bookings are subject to availability, applicable deposits and MSR's standard booking conditions.
Discounts cannot be exchanged for cash or combined with other promotional offers unless expressly permitted by MSR.
7. Special Offers for Other Entrants
Following the competition, MSR intends to offer a separate, limited-time discounted booking promotion to eligible entrants who have opted in to receive marketing communications.
Details of this promotion, including applicable discounts, eligible departures and booking conditions, will be provided separately.
The deadline for accepting this promotional booking offer will be 25 November 2026.
Participation in the giveaway does not automatically entitle an unsuccessful entrant to a particular discount or guarantee availability on any selected trip.
8. Privacy and Marketing
MSR collects entrants' personal information for the purposes of administering the competition, verifying eligibility, selecting and contacting the winner, and maintaining appropriate competition records.
Entrants may separately choose whether to receive future MSR promotional emails, special offers and competition announcements.
Marketing consent is optional and does not affect competition eligibility or the chances of winning.
Promotional emails will provide a method to unsubscribe.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and MSR's privacy practices.
9. Social Media Disclaimer
This competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram, Facebook or Meta.
Entrants release Instagram and Facebook from responsibility for the administration of this promotion to the extent permitted by applicable law.
10. General Conditions
MSR reserves the right to investigate suspicious entries and disqualify entries that breach these rules.
Any necessary changes arising from circumstances genuinely beyond MSR's control will be handled fairly and in accordance with applicable law.
These terms do not exclude rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
